Gilford Bell designed this classic residence for local surgeon in the 1960s. It has the main elements of his idealized plain of \"the residence\" reminiscent of and art gallery. Retained plan with southern aspect to the view of the golf course. Utility rooms along the north wall. Pool to the east beside the Bedroom. Connected by a long wall with conceded journey and cupboards. Another surgeon purchased the house and asked us to make some alterations to provide for a family with a small children. We have pursued Bells proportions and symmetry by adding a west wing behind court walls and enhanced the utility rooms including a kitchen, the bathroom ensuite laundry, with passive solar glazing to the north court.
